Installing Turok 2 MP Map Collection can be a load, Although not as bad as before thanks to changes made to the steps, But with a guide, It should help you get to playing the mod in no time! 1. Download MP Map Collection itself. Open the MP Map Collection Package Folder, And what you will find is three folders (As well as BAT Files), One for Music used in most of the custom maps as well as mprotation folder, and the other for the mod itself. Extract the music, mprotation, BAT Files and MP Map Collection folders to the same folder where your Turok 2 EX folder is, Otherwise you won't hear any music in the custom maps that use it. The other folder is the files used in the mod itself, and it is now named differently, So it shouldn't touch the mods folder as it did before. Main way: This is easily the best and fast way to play the mod since unlike the next two steps, you don't need to have Light Burden installed. 1. Open the BAT file via Notepad. Replace the 'INSERTWHEREYOURTUROK2INSTALLROUTEIS' lines with the path where-ever the MP Map Collection folder is within the same folder where your Turok 2 EX Install Path is. For example, Replace all of 'INSERTWHEREYOURTUROK2INSTALLROUTEIS' with 'H:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Turok 2 - Seeds of Evil\MP Map Collection'. Now do the same for the rest of the BAT Files. Once you are done, You are ready to play by launching one of the BAT files. The next two steps is for Light Burden just in case you want to get advanced with managing the files. If you haven't downloaded Light Burden Yet: 1. Download Light Burden. The Link is here ( https://turoksanctum.com/light-burden-turok-mod-loader/ ) 2. Extract the files to any folder you want, But It would be best to make a folder for Light Burden itself within the T2 Folder. 3. Launch Light Burden. 4. Click 'Add Engine / Game. 5. Find your Turok 2 EX EXE File. It is named 'horus_x64'. Open it. Make sure Turok 2 EX is selected. There are two ways to get it setup: 1st way: 1. Open the Rocket file via Notepad. Replace the 'INSERTWHEREYOURTUROK2INSTALLROUTEIS' lines with the path whereever the MP Map Collection folder is within the same folder where your Turok 2 EX Install Path is. For example, Replace all of 'INSERTWHEREYOURTUROK2INSTALLROUTEIS' with 'H:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Turok 2 - Seeds of Evil\MP Map Collection', Then select Replace and replace all the \ with /. Now do the same for the rest of the Rocket Files. 2. Click on the Launch Engine / Game Tab within Light Burden and open up Rocket Menu and select 'open rocket.' Go to the MP Map Collection Folder and choose which weapon mod you want to play (Or you could play with the original weapons from T2 EX itself, Although it's recommended to play with Rebalanced MP Vanilla Weapons Mod for that, Otherwise you will face balancing issues with the Vanilla Weapons, But I won't stop you from doing just that) 3. Click 'Play Turok 2' and you should be good to go! If you loaded it up with Arsenal, Though, If it gets stuck at 40%, Don't panic: Just give it some time and it will load eventually. 2nd way: 1. Click 'add.' 2. Go to your MP Map Collection folder. There are three ways to play the mod. Turok 1 Weapons: Add the following: Turok1.kpf MPMapPack.kpf MPMapPackTurok1WeaponsPatch.kpf Arsenal: Arsenal.kpf MPMapPack.kpf MPMapPackArsenalWeaponsPatch.kpf Rebalanced MP Weapons: RebalancedMPVanillaWeapons.kpf MPMapPack.kpf MPMapPackRebalancedMPVanillaWeapons.kpf 3. Launch the game. Note: Just in case a New Update rolls around for either the MP Map Collection itself or any of the MP Patches, You have to download them again just to stay up-to-date. Make sure to Extract the updated files to the same folder where the original file is, And make sure the others download the updated files, too. If you or they don't, Then you or the others will get a 'Game Files mismatch' message when they try to join your server, or any other server running these mods. Also, MAKE SURE THERE'S NOTHING IN THE MODS FOLDER: If you do have at least one mod in the mods folder, then you will get that same 'Game Files mismatch' message should you try to join any servers, or a game crash. While Cow's T1 Weapon Port is included within the package by V1.1, Arsenal still has to be downloaded via Turok Discord Server which is pinned in the T2 Modding Channel, And you have to save it as a KPF File, and Extract it to the MP Map Collection Folder.
